“A Neighborhood Tradition”
The Mytiburger restaurant at 2211 West 43rd is a neighborhood tradition that has continued to provide its customers with great food and excellent service ever since it opened its doors all those years ago.
Owner/manager Kathy Green started working at the restaurant back in 1973 for original owners Jess and Ann Jackson. In 1988, the Jacksons offered to sell the business to Green, who accepted the offer and has never looked back.
Green and her staff get a kick out of seeing several generations of customers come into the restaurant. “Customers who have moved far away still come back here to eat,” she said. “Senior citizens come in and order the same items they have ordered for more than 20 years.”
Mytiburger provides a convenient drive-thru window for those in a hurry, and features a menu that includes mouth-watering hamburgers (or buffalo burgers for the healthy conscious), homemade onion rings, shakes and old-fashioned malts. New to the menu is sweet potato fries.
Not only does Mytiburger supply good food, but it offers it in a clean environment: the restaurant has been awarded both the Marvin Zindler Blue Ribbon Award and Emily Akins Restaurant Check.
“I love serving my friends and neighbors,” said Green. “Please stop by and enjoy the great food and friendships that develop here.” Call 713-686-7078 to order by phone.

“Mytiburger Gets A Nod As One Of The Best Burger Joints In Town”
By MARY VUONG Copyright 2009 Houston Chronicle, Whine & Dine
Greg Kewekordes, a self-described “burger historian,” believes Mytiburger (2211 W. 43rd) can “easily hold (its) own with the best burger joints in town.”
His reasoning: “I’ve lived in Houston my whole life and only recently happened upon the place by accident. The style of the burgers are very similar to Roznovsky’s, but they have bigger, better meat. The shakes are great, too. French fries seem pretty standard, but they have tater tots as a welcome alternative.”
